Furiosa, The post-apocalyptic 2024 picture, a Saga” directed by stars and as Imperator Furiosa. This film, which stars Chris Hemsworth and Tom Burke, is both a and a spin-off to “Mad Max, Fury Road” (2015). Released in Australia on May 23, 2024, and the US the following day, the movie made its world at the Cannes Film Festival.

Premise

The story of young Furiosa is followed in “Furiosa, A Mad Max Saga,” which is set before “Mad Max, Fury Road.” Captured by the Biker Horde, under the command of Warlord Dementus, she must endure hardships in the Wasteland while attempting to make her way back to the Green Place of Many Mothers amid power conflicts within the Citadel.

Hemsworth stated that former inmates were employed as backup performers. Even though the filming was over by October 2022, Taylor Joy characterized her time on site as difficult and isolating.

The original release date of June 23, 2023 was postponed.

Critical response

Recieved an average score of 8.6/10 and an 86% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, critics praise the movie for giving “Fury Road” more substance. With 83 out of 100, Metacritic indicates “universal acclaim.” Give it four stars out of four for storytelling and performances, Robert Daniels of RogerEbert.com says. On the other hand, Variety’s Owen Gleiberman deems it pretentious, and the BBC’s Nicholas Barber awards it a 3 out of 5 stars, citing its convoluted narrative.
