Photography is the discipline and art of taking photos with a camera. It consists of light, its arrangement and the point of view in order to depict beautiful and often emotional images. Photographers apply technical skills to master the camera’s elements of exposure, focus, and framing, while the image tells the story or conveys a mood that is the photographer’s artistic vision. Photography is not limited to only one genre such as portrait, landscape, photojournalism, fashion or wildlife photography, but many others as well. Even though there is a purpose for artistic photography, communicative photography and record photography, all three capture a particular period in time enabling viewers to appreciate and view the world through different spectacles.
