Introduction

Ambati Thirupathi Rayudu, 23-year-old  was an Indian cricket player who represented his country in 61 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) between 2013 and 2019. A middle-order batsman of the right hand. He represented Hyderabad in and shared six IPL championships with the Mumbai Indians and . In Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, on September 23, 1985, Ambati Thirupathi Rayudu was born into the Kapu family. Career

Early promise

With Hyderabad's youth teams, Ambati Thirupathi Rayudu started his in the late nineties. He played a great part in the 2000 ACC Under-15 Trophy and debuted for Hyderabad in the first class in 2002 at the age of 16. In addition to being the youngest player to score a century in a Ranji match. Rayudu captained both the India Under-17 and Under-19 teams. He was a prolific scorer, making hundreds of runs. Decline, ICL and return

Conflicts with Hyderabad's coach led Ambati Rayudu to go to Andhra in 2005, but he returned to Hyderabad for the following season. He was barred from playing domestic cricket after joining the Indian Cricket League (ICL) in 2007. After the BCCI's amnesty in 2009, he returned, playing for Hyderabad and subsequently Mumbai Indians in the IPL. Following his 2010 relocation to Baroda, Rayudu emerged as the team's leading scorer in the 2010–11 Ranji Trophy. He was one of the 30 probables for the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 and was called up to the India A team in 2012.

Indian team

Although he was selected for the series against England in December 2012, Rayudu did not participate. In July 2013, he made his ODI debut with a score of 63*. In2014, Rayudu defeated Sri Lanka to record his first-ever ODI century. For the 2022 IPL, he was back with the Chennai Super Kings. Rayudu announced his retirement from Indian cricket on May 29, 2023.

Other Leagues

Making his Major League Cricket debut outside of India. Ambati Rayudu joined the in 2023 as a wicketkeeper-batsman. He became the second Indian player to appear in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) after Pravin Tambe when he joined with the St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots.

Personal life

In 2009, Rayudu tied the knot with Chennupalli Vidya; together, they have two kids. He's been involved in a number of scandals, including fights with officials and . Notably, during a heated argument with officials in 2018, he was banned for two matches and fined in the 2012 Indian Premier League for using foul language. He was seen fighting with an older people in a video from September 2017. In April 2019, he joked on Twitter about missing out on the World Cup team.
