Kohli, who plays for Delhi in domestic cricket and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League, is the highest-scoring player in the IPL, third in T20Is, third in ODIs, and fourth in international cricket. One of the best batsmen of our time, Kohli was instrumental in India's victories in the 2011 and 2024 World Cups, the 2013 Champions Trophy, and three straight ICC Test series victories.
Early life
Prem Nath Kohli, a criminal lawyer, and Saroj Kohli, a housewife, welcomed Virat Kohli into the world on November 5, 1988 in Delhi. Kohli was raised in Uttam Nagar. He developed a formal interest in cricket at a young age and enrolled in West Delhi Cricket Academy in 1998. He didn't make the under-14 Delhi squad, among other early disappointments, but he joined the under-15 squad and kept up his intense training. Following his father's passing in 2006, Kohli increased his commitment to cricket. The family relocated to Gurgaon in 2015 after living in Meera Bagh.

For health reasons, Kohli switched to a vegetarian diet in 2018, however she still consumes dairy and eggs. He is well-known for his physical appearance, superstitions (such as donning black wristbands and white shoes), and tattoos that bear the names of his parents and symbols of Lord Shiva.
Philanthropy
In order to aid impoverished children and work with non-governmental organizations to further their wellbeing, Kohli established the “Virat Kohli Foundation” in 2013.
