Early life

Prem Nath Kohli, a criminal lawyer, and Saroj Kohli, a housewife, welcomed Virat Kohli into the world on November 5, 1988 in Delhi. Kohli was raised in Uttam Nagar. He developed a formal interest in cricket at a young age and enrolled in West Delhi Cricket Academy in 1998. He didn't make the under-14 Delhi squad, among other early disappointments, but he joined the under-15 squad and kept up his intense training. Following his father's passing in 2006, Kohli increased his commitment to cricket. The family relocated to Gurgaon in 2015 after living in Meera Bagh.
